How do we know that life isn't staged?
After all, we're all just standing in front of world
Being judged, constantly.
We do ourselves up, so we're not the ones shunned
So when you manage to reach the top of that pedestal
You won't get torn to shreds by wolves that is society
[society] def.
Term used for the foxes hiding inside of blood and bones
For all people have the animals inside
It's just how well they handle them that makes them better
Isn't being important a good thing?
How do you know the life, that is your dream, wasn't staged
What if it was planned, schemed, hatched right under you
How do you know that they aren't laughing now
At how naive one could possibly be?
Would you want to know?
How would you know?
This is why...
Because, believe it or not
Good people exist
We may all have animals inside us
But who's to say it isn't a cute bunny?
Rather than a wolf, thriving on attention

HI SILVER ~ SHAKESPEARE WROTE "All of life's a stage ~ and we people merely players" To some extent he was correct. We are born in certain place ~ in a certain time (Historical Period) MALE or FEMALE (which plays a big part in our role !) and with our character (to some extent) conditioned by our natural parents DNA. No HUMANS are born EQUAL we are all born different ~ I am ENGLISH (by conditioning) and you are AMERICAN ~ and that would be obvious to anyone meeting us for the first time. The roles we play are conditioned by time ~ IQ ~ opportunity etc. However in the 21st C in the USA and the UK we have a great degree of freedom to play different roles and evn to forsake our roots ~ even AMISH TEENS get that choice. As HUMANS we have great potential and it is up to us to try to make the best of who we are (Racially) ~ where we are (Geographically) and when we are (Historically). We all have an inner Animal ~ I like to think of myself as a BEAR ~ but a TEDDY BEAR and not a GRIZZLY BEAR ! Thanks for caring & sharing ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B.
Very good and thought provoking write. It's like we take center stage, then when we disappear behind the curtains, we are forgotten. I was about to quote Shakespeare, then I saw Brian already had! hahah
