My beautiful flowering cordyline....
In my garden you slowly grew
Four years an inch by inch.
We went to Spain for a week Long break, returned to quite a view.
From deep inside you've finally bloomed, a beauty show you've made.
Tears ran down my eyes as your wonder before me laid.
We planted you those years ago we really didn't know.
That you would flower so beautiful along a life you'd grow.
Now I sit in my garden chair with you the perfect show.
No television, no computer screen competes with your live grow....
as you can see I've put the picture
on its side...oops!! I'm bloody useless..

- Comment from author about the poem: We came back from Spain Recently and was met with Such a beautiful sight The cordyline we planted Over 4 years ago had bloomed It is one of the most beautiful Sights I've seen in our gardens Over the years, and to be Honest I'm a rubbish gardener. I had no idea it would flower. Apparently they bloom if they Are happy, well as soon as I read That I was in tears....I've tried To upload a pic but as I'm not Very computer savvy it might Turn out to be small... Here's hoping....

Nothing competes nature.
Nicely written

They are superb plants and to get one to bloom in our climate is quite something - loved this PH

Yes , I can relate to the happiness growing flowers can bring and the pain when they struggle just to live . And I grieve when they die
Thank you swingline
To cry with joy when a flower blooms shows nature enjoys first place in your warm heart P.H. a lovely read and congrats on nurturing a tender cordyline to its flowering state.
Thank you Fay....
I love the appreciation of nature to love it,so much as to be inspired to write. Seeds grow only on fertile soil. Just as the plant grew in the terrace it grew in the garden of your mind.
Thank you Augustus..
That was beautiful
