To Say Goodbye

Keziah Amore'

Emancipated. Casted out of your mother's womb. There is no way you were groomed to be King. Emulating fraudulent things, this couldn't be the American dream. Sewing discord amongst other things. I need to wake up from this horrid dream.

When I met you I saw a kingdom in your eyes.
Why! I couldn't still be chasing butterflies.
If only you were awake to see what I see. Haven't quite grown up from playing squirrel, and monopoly. How can I be mad? I was shown what's to come. I didn't catch the signs that you were merely a delivery boy.

I want this joy for ALL my brothers and sisters. In this crazy reality, some may be left behind. Distractions is where you've invested your time. I pictured us walking through paradise arm and arm.
The gates  are closing so I must walk alone. Hoping true love is on the other side.
Rest easy my love, cause this truly is goodbye.
