Let go..(?)

The Invisible

From the words on the screen

It all seems like some endless dream

Your voice was very real

Really expect me to describe how I feel

It’s not just every day

That one goes astray

Easily those words roll off your lips

Receiving that sound I so horribly had from your abandonment learning now why my heart rips

Throwing questions at me

Over and over again saying you can’t wait to see

Yet if you were so excited you did a great job at hiding it

Because long ago that search for you I decided to quit

So how come after all these years

Your hands still don’t wipe away my tears

Trying to get my head above this confusing hole

Yet I’m stuck remembering the childhood you unrightfully stole.
