I am weak, selfish
Bias, not neutral
Judgemental, dramatic
Pessimistic.
I am not sociable,
An introvert
Alone in my thoughts
Alone by myself
Isolated.
They came.
Dark, alarming,
Fear encompasses me
I feel empty, hopeless
I seek, yet I did not turn
I knock, yet I am afraid
To be judged, to be left,
To be forgotten
To be not forgiven
I am rotten inside,
Life slowly fading away
Little by little the end is coming near
Yet I was held back,
HE came.
HE intervened
HE says I love you.
I cried.
I was saved.

- Comment from author about the poem: This is my first time posting. Please excuse or pardon me for writing what I thought and what I'm battling each day. I view writing as an expression of creativity, of emotions and of the difficulties we face each day in our lives. Thank you for your patience. This poem is about the struggles that some of us have. Depression is clearly not a friendly mental illness and that we should be aware of the struggles of each person experiencing and not shunning them out of the community. We should help them overcome the whispers and the battle of the mind that they are going through thus I began writing as a therapeutic means of what I've been going through. It is also to raise awareness. I actually don't know which category to place it so I placed it in the Reflection category. Do correct me to place it in another category if can be and point out any mistakes I made. I am open to constructive criticism. :) Thank you very much dear readers! (is there a space for each paragraph here?)

You did a really good job! I believe you are right when it comes to depression and you made a poem that I personally could relate too. I agree when it comes to what poems are, keep posting can't wait to read more! 🙂
Thank you very much! 🙂 I will try to do more though. Yes, I think there are people who needed to be reached out and to have accountability so that we might avoid the worst thing that could happen. I know some of my friends are also battling this and they are creating also ways to reach out to others who is in the same situation. So I decided to post it here. 😀 I just found this site somewhere in the internet. Hehe. Will also check your profile! Thank you! 😀
