Train Journey

Bibbeck

I study the people on the train

I study their faces

One's reading a book

Another's reading a paper

One sits so still

It's hard to believe he's human

Apart from his eyes

Moving swiftly from side to side

Maybe he's watching me!?

Another looks so sad

It's as if she could cry.

As we pull into a station

The paper is folded

As the young man gets up

Pushing his way

Out of the train

Elbowing his way through the crush.

Some people are standing on the platform

And as the train pulls out again

Someone is waving good-bye

A white hanky in their hand

And two tearful eyes.

Good write. It is great to watch people on the trains, and with the UK trains we have plenty of time so to do!
