Cherubim and Seraphim
Glory to God, and peace upon the earth.
Seraphic gold rhapsody glorifies light,
Shine in splendor, magnificent in sight,
God has brought love and goodness at birth.
Hear the angels glorify on this night,
Listen to the heavenly melody,
Melody of worship, exultant bright,
Cecilia's glory in theophany.
Angels-archangels, with harps jubilate.
This blessed of nights, stars illuminate.
Pure love brought to us, and virtue abounds.
'Tis Immanuel, our Savior is crowned.
Cherubim and seraphim eternal,
majestic hymns in chorus praise unending.
