Fits tune: Albano (Novello)
('Once, only once, and once for all')
********
1. For watering of parchéd land
Lord, dispense your good hand
Refreshing showers of rain outburst
E'en where sin does its worst
2. Whether land dried though heat or drought
Or freezing icy bout
Grant pleasant atmosphere that we
Your true salvation see
3. If land looks famished, as unfed
By you the living bread
Yet you will provide all we need
You will us still each feed
4. For weary souls beset by sin
You will help, cleanse within
The land, territory of the soul
You will heal and make whole
5. And too our bodies, spirits tend
Protect us and defend
The bread and water of life you
Ever are, us renew
6. Rest troubled heart, mind, in your Lord
He is the living Word
Through each season He will attend
Us, His love, graces send
7. Fall raindrops of the Spirit free
Or rays of sunshine be
Our life's garden you cultivate
In Christ is our blessed state
