He Wouldn't Make Room For Me

ApolloEnjolras

He wouldn't make room for me
Though I tried everything I knew
Somehow I couldn't let him be
But our distance only grew

I understood we were strangers
But that's how all friends begin
Cautious of all kinds of dangers
He wouldn't let me in

Perhaps I did something wrong
I know I always do
I waited for so long
But never could break through

His friends ignored me as well
To them, I was the enemy
They'd rather go to hell
Than spend an hour with me

At least he was polite
I couldn't ask for more
He treated me well, quite
And so I'll close that door

Great poem, very nicely written. Just remember, for every door you close, another will open up!
I do like your writing, wouldn't mind reading more.

Leave that door closed behind you, the next door you open may be the one for you. Good write.
