They say

Crow.

they say that God loves everyone

so what makes us the exception

they say that God forgives all

so why are we the unforgivable

They say that God made everyone perfect

so why are we evil mistakes

we just want be who we are

we want to be free from this hate

why cant you see that we are alike

we just want to find love

find happiness

find acceptence

they say that those who are not like them are going to hell

that there so-called loving and forgiving God will send us to burn in a pit of flames

but if the man they call God is so loving and forgiving and accepting to his people

why would he send us to a place like that

wouldn't he try to save us from this closet that you have locked us in

starving us of our true freedom

you scream and yell such hateful words while you hide behind some hateful signs

you yell about how God Hates Fags

How about I educate you in a history and vocabulary lesson

a Fagot is a bundle if sticks used to burn gays at the stake

Innocent people had become fire wood

they became fuel

but how is it that Moses saw wood on fire

and he saw God in it

how can things that look so similar be so easily missed

just looked over for thousands and thousands of years

Do you think that the people that say they swear

and live by the bible

will look back over the words of God with this in mind

Another example is our Lord Jesus Christ

he had two dads and turned out just fine

the bible says

"Love Thy Neighbor as you love Thy Self." Mark 12:31

but how can you say that you love thy neighbor

if you just keep spreading and teaching this hate

to the next generation

  • Comment from author about the poem: So this poem means a lot to me. I am christian AND a part of the LGBTQP+ community. This is for all the people who say that the way we live is a sin. I want those who feel this way to read this poem with an open mind and heart. I would like them to see how contradicting they are to people who are not straight. Also to those who are in the closet or out or where ever you are, keep loving. They can't take this away from you, don't fight with hate like they do, fight with love. Love is so much stronger than hate. Just remember that "WE ARE HERE! WE ARE QUEER! SO GET USE TO IT!" Love you all. Happy Pride Month

Klokat, you wrote a beautiful and very thought provoking poem. I differentiate between the Christian belief and the Church as an organisation made and run by man. God cannot be wrong and does love everybody. Unfortunately churches as man-made organisations have been distorting and changing the basic belief. Many times to suit their own purposes. Just look at the history of the Catholic church. This is unfortunate and sad.
In an ideal world everybody would think like you. Let's just hope we will eventually get there!

Good write. It is a pity that this world cannot accept all people no matter what gender, race, creed, sexual orientation or disability (or any other I have missed). Life for all of us can be wonderful.
