My Green Hoodie

I keep my hoodie in your room

Just as I always do

In every place

On the chair

Across the floor

Hung up nicely after chores

My green hoodie

Your favourite colour

One you wear so we feel closer

My comfort hoodie

One worn in poorly or sad times

To keep away worries

Make me feel warm and safe inside

A hoodie in your room

Kept there to be close to you

A hoodie to stalk your every move

To let you know I'm never far from view

A hoodie that attracts your sent as you rush by

Perfume scented

It smells so fine

One I have next to me at night

To feel protected as if your by my side

A hoodie

With your scent attached

As well as sweet memories in hand

Ones I remember when I inhale your scent

When I miss you at night

When things fail to make sense

A hoodie

That's all it will be

But one that's yours and mine

A hoodie kept in your room for eternity

What a wonderful poem. Full of love, intimacy, longing. A shared hoodie as a symbol of togetherness. Love it!

There ain't nothing like a well worn hoodie. Especially if it smells like someone. I kept a sweater for a time that belonged to a lost love. I could smell his clean skin and faint cologne.
