me, myself and i.

Ruth Fadairo

I’ve tried to accept my loneliness,

Really I’ve tried.

I sit in the darkness.

I stare into the darkness.

Perhaps I am the darkness.

I ponder on why my life,

Is the way it is.

I sit alone in the darkness

Why?

Because I like being alone

Or Am I just lonely?

You tell me.

A (wo)man who conquers them self is stronger than one who conquers a thousand in battle. Maybe that's all you're doing..getting to know your true self before sharing with others. Either way you've created an awesome poem out of it.

Ruth, I like your poem. You can be alone, yet not lonely at all, and you can be totally lonely even when among many people. Being alone is physical, no other body nearby. Being lonely is mental, and that you can change. You do have the power. Try it, and your next lovely poem might sound completely different!

Being alone can be priceless in this rough and tumble world in which we live. Your life is filled with words which reach other people so being lonely is not real. Good write.
