Fit tune: Blaenwern
(One tune to 'Love divine, all loves excelling')
Psalm 145 v.1 - 11
********
1. I will extol you, my Lord, King
To you praises will I bring
I will bless your name for ever
And ever, and cease never
Every day will I bless you true
And for ever will praise you
For great are you, greatly praised be
Greatness unsearchable He
2. One generation your works shall
Tell to another, not fail
To declare your mighty acts strong
Speak them, sing them, all life long
And your wondrous works declaring
Our true worship you we bring
Light our hearts, a flame aspiring
Unto you, our God and King
3. I will speak of glorious honour
Of your majesty, and stir
My heart to speak of works wondrous
That you do, you come to us
And people shall speak of the might
Of your awesome power, insight
And too of your greatness telling
We to you our praises bring
4. The memory of your goodness
Great it is, for us you bless
It shall be uttered abundant
Each good gift that you have sent
And tongues shall sing of you righteous
You merciful and gracious
Full of compassion, you are kind
Slow to anger, patient mind
5. The LORD is good to all, o'er all
Does He reign, He does us call
His tender mercies are over
All His works, He does cover
Them, and they shall praise Him ever
Saints praise Him with endeavour
They shall bless you, speak your glory
And your power, kingdom, free
