theperksofbeingpoetic

The perks of being poetic are that you are in connection with yourself

or are you?

Maybe you're trying to be in connection with yourself or even the world

The perks of being poetic are all of the stories that you have

of what you have been through

the good, the bad is all rolled up into one poem

The perks of being poetic is how damn well you can write

WELCOME IVY ~ Thanks for an excellent first poem ~ In both its Structure (elegant free verse) and Subject ~ The perks of Poetry ! Poetry is very personal (which is why some poets never share it ~ which is sad) ~ But it is also very CATHARTIC and allows us to share and release our inner emotions ~ which is what you have done for us ~ to our mutual benefit ! Poems are our SAFE PLACE ~ so we can lay them OPEN in a caring poetry site like MPS and know they will be cherished and treated with TLC ~ MPS is an awesome site ! All HUMANS are poetic ~ and some (like you) have the confidence to SHARE & CARE ~ that is the essence of MPS ! You really are POETIC ! Please check my ODES and FUSION (SENSES) ~ Thanks BRIAN (UK)
