Angels we have lost

4 faces, 4 lives, 4 souls,
4 precious beings, 4 smiles, 4 unique roles,
4 individuals with 1 commonality.

Their smiles lit up the world and lightened the air,
Shinning, with pure warmth and genuine care.
The impact they had on every soul,
To make others happy was always their ultimate goal.
Their selflessness, kindness and heart,
Filled our lives, creating beautiful, inspiring art.
Always asking about other's wellbeing,
Helping, lending a hand, their everything, from their kindness there was no fleeing.
Despite the smile that was always on their face,
An incredible depth could always be traced.
A depth deeper and darker than anyone can see,
Experiences of the past of what they so badly wanted to be free.
Chains pulling them down, back to where they tried to escape,
Desperately fighting so it doesnt shape-
Their beings, their lives, their very essence,
Wanting to create and shape their own lives, not to be based on their adolescence.
Only to find out that there are some things too powerful to fight,
Extinguishing what they worked on so tires-sly, their inner light.
They fought, each in their own way,
Not just to survive but to keep their own and other's pain at bay.
To bring a smile and share their positive vibe,
The powerful and beautiful legacy they left us with, impossible to describe.

As a result of going through the unspeakable, the biggest price they paid,
And despite their pain, the ultimate sacrifice they made.
But their battle will never be forgotten, nor will it be in-vain,
For we will continue this fight until we have not just broken but shattered that chain.
We will not allow the darkness to overcome,
For we are all warriors and to our wounds we will not succumb.
With tears running down our cheeks, and blood soaking our clothes,
We will continue this war with strength that shows-
The courage the ones who have left us had, and some more,
For the darkness may have won this battle, but they will not win this war!
