Where Does she Go When she Goes

Hannabal

She is staring off again

Her mind a million miles from here

Eyes glazed and unfocused

I wonder what lies in that beyond she so often visits

I wonder what is dancing behind those pools of green and brown

Why does her brow start to furrow

Why do tears form but do not spill

Is it anger

Is it sadness

Is it confusion

Or perhaps a sentimental memory

I wish she would bring me with her when she goes

Maybe then I would better understand
