desperate

onepauly

it seems very hard now in these times

for i who seeks answers from these rhymes

the suicidal urges i hope shall be overcome

my heart it beat heavy somewhere from

the vast riches of the universe

must i always pull the short straw

where is the line met

for a good strong even draw

in my small room i feel like crying

so cold out there in here im dieing

im filled with drab sickness

i believe from the street

ill try to survive hopefully

with not only beans to eat

I only wish I knew the poetry that was from my younger days, to see all the pain I never thought I'd make it through.
Thank you for sharing yours and not giving up so we could all reflect on darker times knowing they don't last, then hopefully is transcend to others that struggle.

Well written, Paul, it vividly conveys the hard times we sometimes have to go through before finding better pastures. And I am more than glad you made it!
