Because I can not have you back
I want to tear the moon down from the sky
I want to tear the eyes from every man
I want to tear knowing from my mind and feeling from my heart
Because I can not have you back
I despair of sunsets and of dawns
I despair of a hundred thousand songs
I despair or words and deeds and being.
Because I can not have you back
I kick my bucket in the monstrous sea
I roll my stones up to my mound
I eat my grapes with hungry eyes
And am full
Of impotent fury and disdain.
