Emptiness

katherinem7

The earth is moving
My heart is still
The world is an empty space
No color, no love, no thrill
My thoughts are moving
But they go nowhere
Besides the circles of despair
I rest my head in this lonely place
As love abandons me,
And goes without a trace.

I remember the songs I used to hear
The words they whispered in my ear
But now I listen to the sound
Of empty spaces and their cries
I have lost the joy that I once found
The only thing left is beautiful lies
