Fits tune: Laudate Domino
('O praise ye the Lord')
Psalm 111 v.1 - 6
**********
1. The LORD will I praise
I will Him up raise
Engage my whole heart
My all, every part
Singing with His people
Gathered, one and all
The great congregation
Partakes, each nation
2. The LORD's works are great
Of noble estate
And they are sought out
Without delay, doubt
And all those that pleased be
They in His work,s ee
Rejoice therein, praising
To God their true King
3. The LORD's works they be
Displayed honourably
He glorious too
Worship to Him due
His righteousness endures
E'ermore to all shores
His works they wonderful
We may them recall
4. And gracious is He
Compassionate be
The LORD, His nature
We here discern sure
To those who do Him fear
He feeds, He is near
Of His covenant mindful
Trusting, we not fall
5. The works of His power
He has shown each hour
That He may us give
Heritage, we live
Even heathen places
Of all creeds, races
Given to His peoples
Each one that he calls
