Surreal Sea

Noveyre

Hot air balloons, relinquished

floating in the sky

colorful like tropic fish

in an aerial aquarium

Up and up, through clouds of coral

swim stingray kites and whale planes

looking right and wrong and strange, like morals

swimming in a liquid dream

All the things you love and dread,

the things that inundate your head.

amaze and astound,

as well as they drown

the ones ensconced on their shorelines.
