Wow, I was trying to say something like this to someone the day. As always I used to many words, I'll now show them this.

Pain is the greatest teacher any one will ever know.
Incredible writing Nicole. While it is true that some of the greatest works of art in writing, sculpture, or painting have materialized out of the pain of the artist, personally I don't think that pain is a pre-requisite for great art.
You ARE an artist, pain or no pain!
