Splashing Waves In Rainbows.

kevin browne

Faced with the confliction of making efforts to conform for a better life
Kicking up old trash cans filled with the enormity of staying alive
Spreading ideas around the globe because everyone likes it
Then you hold your head up when everyone tries to
Superficial sacrifices involving the types of disruptions we deleted
The evil thriving on the benefits of being sat in the hot seat of life
Living alone in the silence God created for the sad and weakened
When a storyteller thought the extinction of humans was dying
And the invasion of thought that introduced a new way of life
Capturing despair as we sit down in our armchairs to place a bet
Screaming all together as a voice like no other has ever sounded
Repeating the circumstance as we lose over and over again
Teary children's mishaps are starting to bleed the nursery dry
And with a runny ice cream, they sit down, lick more and cry
One is one and one is enough to teach ourselves what we preach
In the religions we feed and breed allow all the prophets to scam
There can be only one God when there should be 2, 3 or 4
Dying again from the atrocities that life is out on a string of balance
Cleverly written in the book of all hope and our wisdom in tow
Pearly illusions lifted the spirits who demonise the kind hearts
Losing the ability to discover the new and bright young philosophers
Is it true we know nothing anymore because we gave it all away
Sadly and in our defence of trying to use up defected transfers
Trapping your mind so the radio sits down to make a cup of addiction
Running away with the dreams we kept hidden away for so long
Futures hold together the communities living life in the corrupt lane
Fixing poets pens and fixing the world all along the journeys we take
Splashing waves in rainbows and however those lasers beam
striking to know you never really cared when it all came crashing in
Left alone to kill the souls who were buried alive but together
Reacting to the bounding of us people tied together with misery
Leaving us to wonder what this world is all about.

        • kevin browne

can I just call you Friedrich?

          • FredPeyer

Kevin, I am Swiss, not German!!!!! No way I wanna be called Friedrich. 🙂

            • FredPeyer

I have to correct the above. I am Swiss, Canadian, and now a US citizen. But no matter what, Friedrich is out!

              • kevin browne

                • Poetic Dan

Brilliant! Every other line my brain was on fire, so many thoughts I couldn't keep up.
Well and truly blow my mind.

                  • kevin browne

then it worked my friend. if only we could gather up all the thoughts together making something really brand new which would totally sort all the worlds problems out. but for how long would it last?

                    • Poetic Dan

For this I've thought about most of my life and I think I'm now at the understanding of not in my time 😉
With that old cliché I'm just trying to be the change hopefully mine and other children will do the same, then maybe in a few more generations this place will not act so insane.

                    • Fay Slimm.

Reflections on life and written with fervour this verse speaks to those who question life's happenings - a beguiling read Kevin.

                      • kevin browne

exactly my friend. enchanting is seeing the people together working in harmony on this planet, not ripping people's throats out all the time.

                        • malubotelho

Great write Kevin. Another one to make us think. Thanks for it. If we continue like this we will never get Alzheimer's

                          • kevin browne

so we may have found a cure then for Alzheimers malubotelho? our minds never really stop thinking really, even when we sleep it shows us the imagery about what you're dreaming about. sometimes we can't remember though. thank you for reading x

best one yet kingkev I learned a lot with this one. ill show you my favorite two lines. repeating the circumstances as we lose over and over again. its like me and my allergy pills I cant seem to slow down. I need something like this to keep me comfortable from the bordom. I cut down but went back to. and/one is one and one is enough to teach ourselves what we preach.

                            • kevin browne

thanks, onepauly. glad you think it's the best one yet but there are many more to be written and also to compete to make it better than the last one. sorry, it's taken ages to reply but I haven't been feeling the best just recently. stay safe in this world brother.
