We have them every day,
Every day we have a choice to make.
That choice may be of no import,
Or it could be life changing,
Which choice do we take?
The choice does not matter,
We do take all the choices.
All are out there in this Universe,
And in the other Universes.
That infinite number of Universes
That lie parallel with the one,
The one we are in at this moment.
So don’t worry about choices,
As if we take every choice
Somewhere in one of the Universes,
That choice will be taken.
All the choices in our lives are out there,
They are found in an infinite number of universes,
That run parallel to that life we are now in
As we are reading these words.

- Comment from author about the poem: There is a theory that we live in one of an infinite number of parallel Universes and that each of the choices we have been given is taken in one of these Universes. So somewhere out there we are living in the Universe of Paradise.

A little short but packing a punch. Well done, Finch the man. A very interesting subject to write a poem about. If I could meet all of the other mes, I would just casually start talking a bunch of banter to them, and then have the greatest night of my life. Can' t wait for the next one buddy, keep it up.
Thanks Nicholas. All the other mes together would be very interesting, asking them why they took the decision that I didn't.
Indeed. It boggles the mind in such a pleasant way.
A fine write G/F. Not to discredit the theme altogether by being flippant, but - oohh yes, I know them. I went to see E.T. You turn left after Saturn and he's on the third planet on your right! heehee. Or you can take the No.11 bus there. Will that be reality in years ahead?!
In my warped world it is a reality now, it says so in Star Trek!
Goldfinch, this is genius! Just think, if we could switch from one to another of these universes and see what the different choices resulted in. My imagination is going wild!
Thanks Fred. I have known about the idea of parallel Universes for years, perhaps I came fro one into this Universe.
This sure chimed in my world Goldfinch60. Within the teachings of Buddha is the tenent "reality is but an illusion". Sure to get your reader thinking.
Thanks b-e the teachings of Buddha were/are very wise.
Your poem echoes mine of yesterday and I am in full accord with this theory, b-e. Well expressed, my friend!
Thanks Louis.
very good theory. one of many possible ones. intresting
