Sleazy lover

malubotelho

It was one more day like many others
and the same old trivial sun showed a shore,
and like a sleazy lover,
with his cuddle warm embrace,
would seduce me once more.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This was written original in Portuguese. Era só mais um dia , igual a tantos outros e o mesmo sol manjado aparecia e como um amante cafageste, no calor do seu abraço, outra vez me seduzia.

100% sleaze i couldn't go for. But sleaze within a knowing tender loving partnership for zest ... oh yes, yes pleazzzze a bit of sleaze.

I enjoyed this so much, and wish I could read the Portuguese!

        • malubotelho

Thank you. The Portuguese from Brazil is fun because I use two words that is like street language and the rhymes fits much better there. Happens that every time I try to translate a poem I end up writing another one. Thanks for reading

I like it Malu, reminds me of the days when we lie on the beach in the warm sand, with the heat of the sun enveloping us, the gentle rhythmic sound of the waves transporting us into some other dimension.
See what you did with your five lines? Now I wanna drop everything and drive that half hour to the north shore!

I'm happy you've got inspired by my simple words. Yes, hey, it is vacantion time. We are so luck we have the beach close by. When I was in Brazil we had to travel 1000 km to find the closest beach from where we lived. Now I always say that no one can complain because we live in paradise. Thanks for your comments
