Unfair

malubotelho

I'm your tears, she is your joy
I'm your awakening, she is your dream,
I'm your rhythm, she is your freedom
I'm your consequence, she is a new beginning
I'm your bones, she is your feelings
I'm your path, she is a new window
I'm your substance, she makes you fluid
I'm your past tense, she is your subject
I give you my heart, she gives you chills
I'm your love, she is your passion.

Superb write, the two images you have created are wonderful.

Thank you GF. It is something to think. They are both good. One is solid; it is love. The other one is fluid; it is passion and can evaporate easy.

Malu, lovely work! I do like the comparison in every line. Though I guess you did write this comparing a wife to a concubine, it might also describe a man's passion for something else, golf for example. 😉

I did not think it before but now that you said. But if my husband would come to me and said he wrote this but his passion here means golf or soccer, I don't think I could believe it.

Full of sincere appeal for love to look again at the blessings it has. A powerful comparison to put before those who waver - -thank you for sharing it Malu

Thanks Fay. For us women, it is so many times that we have to face the unfair side of an extra marital afair from our spouses. The ephemerality of a passion. So futile but so desirable.

I believe it is you and your soul. communicating.

You can think of that too. In poetry one can fly on any direction.

aah the trade off, which is the more important? which is the more tempting? for which one to settle?
              do we ever really settle?

My answer is: anyone that stays on top of the wall is going to get shot from both sides. So better decide.
