Stillness.
That stillness, revealed by love,
begets ease of flow
from fear of silence growing
between firey hearts, as proof
love needs its sweet calm.
When words spoken bear no harm
hurtful moments soon
melt, regret reverts
stress and love's stillness returns
to dissipate pain
and take away strain
for forgiveness breeds virtue.
Stillness repays
lovers with much to be learned.

If I had a last word I think it would be "forgiveness"
Great piece of art
Agreed Dan - - forgiveness is vital to any relationship - thanks for your thoughts after reading the poem.
A fine write Fay. I'm not always so meditative. If I am, I aim not to be complex. In 'deep times' some words seem to 'get in the way' for me. None of this applies to your fine poem though. It's just me thinking aloud.
Then again, if I had a last word, it would be 'sherry' or 'pork pie' please. I wish I would shut up! lol.
sweet words of wisdom
Stillness between lovers speaks ever more loudly and deeply as their love evolves ... a beautiful thing to behold, indeed. So well messaged in this, another fine poem, Fay!
I wish I could get more stillness in my life
Beautiful poem again, Fay. And you chose a good picture to go with it.
