1/5/12
She has blonde hair and blue eyes
She stands thin and tall
It hurts so bad I've put up the wall
I've ruined this little girl's life
I can only pray she does not attack with a knife
She had to grow up way too fast
And remembers too much of the past
I have done everything wrong to this child
She sure hasn't taken it mild
There have good and bad days
I still wasn't able to change my selfish ways
Shr watched me with men
Andnever saw how I can write with my pen
The Dark Cloud I created over her head
I've given birth to her two sisters
They are all from different misters
Every time I gave her a little hope
I continued to go backwards smoking dope
This 13 year old girl
Has been througj a whirl
For where she is now
I'm throwing in my towel
My parents have raised her well
I want to ring the bell
I pray for her forgiveness someday
I can only show her the right way
My love for her is forever so strong
I cant live doing anymore wrong
She is beautiful and smart
I obviously did not do my part
I want to be her mother again someday
I just have to follow the path the right way

Welcome to the site Lisa! Very beautiful and powerful writing. Emotion, hurt, hope, and promise, all bundled into only a few lines.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it
WELCOME LISA ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ straight from your loving HEART and saddened MIND. The Structure ~ lots of rhythm and rhyming couplets is elegant ~ BUT ~ the Subject is heart rending ! I haven't got any kids yet ~ but to "lose" one as you feel your have lost CASSY must be worse than death. You blame yourself and I guess you are right. Thanks for caring & sharing ~ I trust you found writing it "cathartic". Thinking of you and Praying for you ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Love the East Coast of Florida and TAMPA is my fave. Thank you so much that really means a lot and he's very inspiring for me
be patient and in time she will understand how important a mothers love is when she needs it but isn't getting it because she won't allow it/ I don't know what your issues are specifically but I am sure time will be the healer of both your disconnections.
