The ocean laps against the side of the boat
Waves so big I wonder how I am still afloat
I wish I could go back to my home
But I have chosen to be alone
Now that there is no turning back
My longing for home is growing larger by the stack
I look out upon the sea and wonder “Why me”
Why am I captured instead of being free
They came to me and offered a new life
Said come play our game, roll our dice
Dumbly, I agreed to go with them
I followed, like a pup leaving the den
Looking back on my choice
I begin to hope they will hear my voice
My shouts are too far out for anyone to hear
I lean back and cry a pool of tears
They had a catch that they kept quiet
So when I asked about it they denied it
No one can hear my cries for help
I am too far out at sea for an audible whelp
They sent me on a boat away
And here I am still today
Hopefully one day I will be found
But if not I will be forever water bound
