Dark moon arrives...
I see faces and spaces,
In unfamiliar places.
Each breath is the last,
That will touch the past.
Every day that I've made,
Isn't used, I've just laid.
Time now moves to its end,
I'm alone without friend.
No more this life of stone and glass,
No more a time for forgiveness
last.
I see your face upon this pillow crease,
Not Recognised but somehow known.
I see reflection and rejection,
In a mirrors required imitation.
The end will come soon,
I can see the darkened moon.
No warmth to heat my inner soul
But soon a million fires glow.

- Comment from author about the poem: Apologies if today's poem Is a little dark, I am going through 24 hours without sight, a blindfold I'm wearing until tomorrow, my wife Is writing what I'm dictating.... I'm doing it for a friend... It has been the most difficult thing I have ever done and it's only been A few hours.... I will write a poem About it tomorrow.... a most Amazing thing has happened though I can actually see the words I'm Writing instead of them being in My head.....

It is a valiant experiment you undertake, probing how the other senses step in to compensate for lack of vision. Kudos on the poem and the experiment both, P.H.!
Thank you so much Louis
Having to have my wife
Write for me is the hardest
Thing at the moment as
She does not like poetry
And the toilet is bloody
Hard
Absolutely loved this
Hi Shannon, haven't
Seen you in a while
Excuse the pun...
Thank you. Great comment
A temporary blindfold can be a valuable experiment and to think you see words by other senses is amazing P.H. - looking forward to your posting tomorrow.
Thank you Fay....
I'm going to post it shortly
I'm still trying to focus my
Eyes properly
An amazing experiment you've undergone....I really like the descriptions in your poem, echoed by some already. This poem is incredible!
