Happy Weekend

Edward Charles McDevitt

Hoping for sunshine and skies that are blue,

Along with pleasure that is long over due.

Perhaps a few friends to meet at the shore,

People that are close or possibly more.

Yesterday's over and there's no looking back,

We all have something that each of us lack.

Enjoy what's ahead and have a good time,

Even if there is no reason or rhyme.

Keep everything easy and try to have fun,

Especially now with the weekend begun.

Now that work's over just sit and take in,

Deeply inhale the fresh air and begin!

A lovely flow to this friendly acrostic - - inventive rhyming and good line-metre - - a delightful read Ed. - keep that ink flowing.
