Crossroads

Mellowman

Half a century of life's twists and turns

Countless triumphs and concerns

Is my path one I control

Or am I the pawn of a greater soul

My journey now brought me to

An Uncharted land of something new

Stand at the Crossroads where I look

For a sign, a clue or a book

To guide me through this place divine

Where I can find what is truly mine

As I wait for what my next step is

A guide appeared in a whiz

She led me by the hand to here and there

Not knowing where nor did I care

Her brown eyes fixed deep as if to say

Your dreams come true this very day

One only has to decide one thing

What dream will bring one to dance and sing

The Crossroads is there for you and I

Revel in wonder and don't ask why

For if you do the dream will leave you there

Without a thought of being here

Relish in the gift of chance

Forever full of song and dance

Choose once then stand back and see what is

A future of pure limitless bliss

We meet many crossroads in our lives, all we can do is chose one way and hope it is the right one. Good write.
