There are no stars in the heavens
There's no twinkling in my eyes
I looked in my bedroom mirror
The image doesn't tell any lies.
You looked in my book
Can you read between the lines
Look through my curtains
Tell me does the sun shine?
Making love between the sheets
Eyes wide open you sleep!
Can you find the light
That went out long ago
Can you see the woman
The one who let the light go?
She no longer smiles
She only weeps
Her sobbing can be heard
At night before she sleeps.

Relationship is a special kind of business involving two, it has up and downs, all depends how you run it. Nice writing.
Thanks M&M. A good relationship is very special. Gratefully mine has only a few small bumps. 🙂
Well written Bibbeck, one does get the feeling of two ex-lovers, now more like strangers 'sleeping with eyes wide open'.
Good to have your review FredP, thank-you.
I really enjoyed this piece quite a bit! It's always sad when a relationship reaches that point and is no longer happy.
Thank-you Kesha. So pleased that you enjoyed it. Relationships are often a lot of work to keep them happy, so it's a great loss when it goes downhill.
Good write so full of emotion.
Always good to have your review Goldfinch. Thank-you.
