Dream Totem

Night Owl

Darker than any night, mountains of black fall from your shoulders.

Your visit uninvited, and yet I am here, close to your belly.

Listening to the hum of your heart.

Dream totem I am yours this evening, riding the waves of the unconscious.

Your reach is firm but soft. Your gaze sharp and luminous.

My breath slows.

I am silent, waiting for your message.

Wow! Love this. "My breath slows." In thst line can feel the state of relaxing the body and mind and soul to open oneself to whatever message might be awaiting us. I can feel the eagerness to receive a message, but also a sort of acceptance of whatever message might come. Complete openness. Love this poem a lot. Beautiful, engaging and though-provoking write!
