I see

Aa Harvey

I see

I see pictures on a blank canvas.

I see images inside your image.

I see the tranquility within the madness.

I see a beautiful world only I can envisage.

I see words where none are written.

I see winter gardens on a mid-summers afternoon.

I see Macintosh before it was ever bitten.

I see colours of sunlight when all illumination is from a moon.

I see history designing your future.

I see the past repeating here and now.

I see technology; forever advancing roots of a router.

I see an empty space, with floating ice mountains in the background.

I see Fuji rising over Emoji.

I see all in jigsaw pieces.

I see connections where no attachment should be.

I see the perpetual wave;

Beauty never ceases.

You see beyond the illusion that is this world ... congratulations! I really like and resonate with this one, Aa.

      Thank you.

"From the west to the east I have flown to be near you.
I have come all this way to be close, to be here with you
And now, all my heart I will lay down precisely at your feet."

        Whose lovely quote is that?

        • Aa Harvey

It's from a song by a band called The Bird and The Bee. The song is called 'Love letter to Japan.'

This poem was inspired by watching a television programme about Japan, so it seemed the appropriate quote as my poetry is my heart on show for all the world to see.

As is all good poetry. Thanks.
