Right

Baylee

Why am I not surprised

at how your lips feel against mine?

At how my heart does not flutter

like this is the first touch

But stays content

as if there had been many before?

How can our entwined fingers

feel so natural

It can only be described as

right

normal

balanced

All describe what should be

foreign

unfamiliar

strange

Perhaps

other lives

do exist.

Or perhaps what you describe is a relationship becoming natural, comfortable? Congratulations if so! Nice poem, Baylee.

Nice one Baylee. Lovely in every respect.

This is a great, well written poem, Nicole. With only a few well chosen words you get the reader to think, to get involved in your writing. Deja vue, maybe we met in a previous life?
