wild horses

Heather T

I loved you like wild horses

unbounded sand and ocean endless

throbbing chests and ragged breath

our feet danced with the sunsets

beating in our veins

I loved you like wild horses

we drank when we were thirsty

we cried when we were broken

and knew when we were hungry

we would always have the night

I loved you like wild horses

unfettered moon-winds blew

their sepia across our beaches

antiquing our days, I rode your waves

and frothed beneath the stars

I loved you like wild horses

I said I loved you wild

and never asked for freedom

never, ever asked you

Gentle erotica slides from your pen like nectared silk in this piece of romantic wizardry Heather - loved every stanza and the one-line repetition added more force to the wild feel of the verse. So pleased to have caught this gorgeous offering my friend.

I appreciate you! We have wild Spanish mustangs here on the NC Outer Banks. They are a spectacle to see running on the beaches.
