Redefining.
Like a painting the still lake
with its quiet surface reigns
over disillusion, it redefines
reality by an unruffled smile
at my troubles with a depth
of compassion as it reflects
back clues to restore mood
as quiesence a pool renews.
A tranquil pool stirs no scum
from storm's wilder currents
so maintains an orderly calm
by placidly sinking any harm
that would delight to negate
a mind's trust in kind nature.
Yes, water's becalming effect
aids my heart to really settle.
Praise for water's translation
from unease to non-agitation.

Your lovely poem radiates tranquility as does the pool, Fay. Thanks for this fine, calming write to start my day.
Fay, such a calming effect comes from this beautiful write. A masterpiece for sure.
Good write Fay.
I've just written one which goes hand in glove with this excellent write - not sure its to the same standard but I'll make it my next posting.
Fay, beautiful picture, beautiful poem, so well written (as always). It is so true that gazing out onto a still pond, especially in twilight, calms the mind and opens the heart.
So delicately detailed in soft inspiration. So lovely written Fay. It is such a pleasure to read you.
Lovely reflection of still waters peace restoring virtues. Hard to center in the midst of lashing storms! Enjoyed your wise word gift today.
