The Shackles

Hannah.Almatarneh

how could I let you betray me like that

I love you with all my heart, mind and soul

somehow you still want me as your doormat

I will always be yours, my heart you stole

when you leave me I am left wanting more

know the games you played but I dismiss

all my loyalty, I was still a chore

I hope somewhere in your heart I exist

one day I wont sway in your direction

I will not be a victim of your love

I wont fall at the feet of affection

I will find the true love i still dream of

but I am still shackled up to your wrist

I have been dammed since the moment we kissed

I was about your age when I started writing and then it became an obsession and I couldn't stop, even when I wanted to do other things. Keep going, I think you have plenty more to tell.

It is a very safe place for me and my creative outlet where i can be me without judgement.I can see why you could never stop writing!
