When he says my name
It drops from his lips in every language
I can see every letter carve themselves in the empty side of my bed
Like calligraphy, he was undeniably beautiful
Like calligraphy, he was unapologetic
Like calligraphy, I could barely read him
When I could, his eyes said what they wanted
His ocean mind found it’s way into me
Now I’m drowning in the safety of myself
I’m made up of designer sunsets & originally painted skies
I realized that beautiful things are built by ugly people
He,
He was the worst of them all.
He was never ugly on the outside
But everything he touched turned cold
And me?
I am no longer designer sunset & authentic sky
I am stone.

Very well written, ummbree! Yes, sometimes people are not what they seem.
Thank you! Some people are just better at lying so I decided to write a poem about that, I'm very glad you enjoyed.
Very good write, trust in people can sometimes be destroyed but there ARE trustworthy people out there and they are worth their weight in gold.
Thank you so much!
Great write
Thank you!
Welcome
This is really good. My favorite lines :
When he says my name
It drops from his lips in every language
I can see every letter carve themselves in the empty side of my bed
I appreciate the feedback!
