All the little things that I notice,

None of which you see.

 

How do I tell you about the feeling I get when you bring up your ex?

How you do each other favors

What will he ask next?

 

How do I tell you about the nights I stay up and think?

How I'm so close to giving up 

So close, I'm on the brink

 

How do I tell you that when I'm not with you, I'm without you?

Lonely when I'm alone

I want you included in all I do

 

But most of all...

How do I tell you "I love you?"

When I don't even trust myself enough not to hurt you.
