Time

sue.evans

Why do some days fly by?
When others want to make you cry?
A day when there's company and much to do
The sun is shining and experiences anew,
Opposed to grey skies and time alone
No one knocks the door or gets on the phone.

Funny how life affects the ticking of the clock
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock,
The hands on the clock keep the same beat
Nothing in time changes but the step in our feet,
It's minds and hands that make time fly
It's minds and hands that make us cry!

We are the magicians of our time and its rate
Make each day count before it's too late!

Live each day like it's your last. Well said.

I agree although retirement has shown me that some days can be a drag- think it's because I like to feel I've accomplished something each day!!!

        • Nicholas Browning

That could be true. I'm too young to understand what that's like entirely, but I do know the feeling of not being content with what you've done in a given day.

Time can be a pain sometimes but it is made up of moments and each moment is special, treasure them. Good write.
