A Dragonfly

Ethan Some Cookies

A dragonfly landed upon my skin
Its wings were gossamer, shimmering
Its legs were soft as woven silk
Its body the color of sweetened milk

A beetle landed on my arm
it woudn't go away
it wasn't doing any harm
so I thought I'd let it stay.
But it bit my arm quite badly
and the mark was so distinct
that I have to tell you sadly
that the beetle's now extinct.
