Our creator knew what 'It' was doing
In devising this scheme of evolving.
The plan is contingent upon an
Us-Versus-Them mentality, so
Make glaring differences
The point of our focus!
How best to cause them to forget they're one...?
Well, along with the obvious gender division,
Why don't I introduce different skin colors?
And physical features that can't be missed?
Then maybe throw in, via the Tower of Babel,
Languages unique to particular individuals?
Perhaps even devise some clear handicaps
That brand those afflicted as 'apart'?
Oh, and mustn't forget ... gross
Variations in mental capacity!
There, that should do it,
Thought 'It' to itself.
Now let's see them
Work This out!

Well, it's a good write as a poem. But I don't go along with all the content of it. I can't deny the Tower of Babel though. 'Handicaps' is hideous word (my own view). It's 'special needs' these days.
Ah, so (politically) correct, orchidee, and I respect your take on this one. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks L. It's just that in the UK there was (still is, I think) a cartoon character of Andy Capp. It took me ages to realise it was a play on 'handicap', as they befall this character!
I vaguely remember Andy Capp, but never realized that it was a play on 'handicap'! Thanks for this insight.
Took me ages before the penny dropped!
He wasn't the cartoonist of the old 'Lil Abner' comic strip, was he?
Don't know of that, sorry!
Very well done my friend, yes you are correct there are no coincidence.
Thank you , collinsjg. Appreciate your comment.
Enjoyed this Louis- thank you 😊
I thank you for reading and responding, Sue.
I'm still question sometimes. Why? But then I think that we are not here to question but to accept. Nice writing.
There is nothing wrong with questioning, mb, I think we learn by doing so. Thanks for your response.
Good write. The differences are there to test us, it is a pit that so many use those differences as a way to hatred.
It is a great pity, indeed. Thanks for your comment, Goldie.
