Memories of the past

Estrella Torres

The memories haunt me

Dreaming or not

It still as much of a burden

The memories taunt me

Telling me things no one knows

Whispering secrets in my ears

All for me to hear

So no matter if I'm broken

Ill put myself back together

Yes I hurt

I hurt more than you may know

But I shall not let that stop me

Shall not stop me from victory

Shall not stop me from loving

And most importantly

Shall not stop me from living

HOLA ESTRELLA ~ Welcome to MPS and thanks for your first poem. It is elegantly written and spaced. The subject is something we can all share ~ at some level ! W are all stunted and hurt by MEMORIES & SECRETS from the PAST. I love the resolve in your final quatrain ! NOTHING is going to stop you from VICTORY ~ LOVE ~ LIFE ~ AMEN ! Gracias for caring & sharing ~ Yours BRIAN (UK)

Even though it hurt, but you still have the guts to move on. Very strong person indeed. Very encouraging writing.

A sad, yet uplifting poem Estrella!
Yes, sometimes it is hard to overcome the past, to stop the memories and to look forward. But your last stanza says it all.
