Revolving entries circulate,
Probing naivety through fitful sleep.
Though corruption has its ways
I would give my soul for a little peace.

Peace does not appear to be a natural component of physical life, nor was it meant to be, I believe. We learn best through strife and challenges. Why else come back if not to advance our soul's wisdom?
I appreciate your poem, Nicholas!
We've had so little peace in this world for decades that it's difficult to understand its relevance and significance. People will ask for true peace someday, I think. By then though, it will be too late. I appreciate your comment, and your read sir! Thanks much.
You are right, I believe, in pointing out the race between coming to awareness and destroying ourselves. It's a coin toss at this point ... we'll see.
World peace...now wouldn't that be nice? Great write Nicholas.
More so inner peace. World peace wouldn't be too bad, but some ignorant, small minded human would find some way to screw that all up. Within chaos there is peace. Within peace, there is chaos. Thank you very much for the comment, and the read. I'm glad you enjoyed.
Inner peace is more easily obtainable than world peace. And I agree, some trigger happy idiot would ruin world peace for everyone.
Peace can be found without giving away your soul, sometimes though it can be hard to find. Good write.
Ah ha! You, my good sir mentioned something no one else has yet. How difficult Is it to find peace? No one really knows. Thanks for the comment and the read Finch.
I've looked at your poetry, it's absolutely beautiful, this one however, thought provoking. I love it.
When I wrote it, I wanted people to question what it means. It seems the mark was struck well on that accord. Thank you very much for your kind words.
