As I was writing out checks,
I realized I enjoy the art of writing with a pen.
I was watching the magic of a writing device between my fingers,
Generating shapes of numbers and letters,
Rewiring nerves with intention and attention,
As sensor integration and meditation.
And I was thinking of the children of today.
Is using a keyboard only ,drives flexibility of creativity away?
Does this effect their minds to become robotic?
Psychotic?
Experiment writing with a pen again.
This may make you calm and sane.
It may even drive away pain…

A fine write A. Is mine in the post?! Was you writing one to me, for thousands of (UK) pounds £££?! heehee.
funny i knew that would catch attention... sorry dear only maintenance and bills :(((
I shall write you one out, for spelling 'maintenance'! I always think of 'main-tenant' not 'main-tainance'!
Indeed, some ecperts posit thst writing (manuscript) is therapeutic. Thanks for sharing.
yes RR there is even a theory that says - improve your handwriting - improve your mental health.. thank you 🙂
Wow, my penmanship is awesome.
Thanks you AVI ~ Even though I am young enough to be your PUPIL I was born in the last Century and old enough to remember (in the 1990's) real pens (fountain & nib pens) and real ink ~ we stoped using slates in UK Schools after WW1 (1920's) I have even used a QUILL PEN in a Stately home of England ! I always write out my MPS Poems in pen & ink (or gel pen or biro) in MANU (hand) SCRIPT (writing) so there are books with my original and amended MS ~ before the perfect version appears in MPS from the PC (UGH). My MS's are me in my own handwriting which would tell the discerning reader so much more than my spell checked ~ grammar checked and sterilised odes that appear on MPS ! In short ~ I agree with you ! Love & Hugs ~ You Pupil and Poetic Child ~ BRIAN XOX
we in the poetic society dont mention age only humor and creativity :))) hugs and love ageless pupil
Avigail, I completely agree with your poem, but as a leftie who was forced to write with my write hand, even though I can write with both now, I do prefer the computer.
forced to... sounds like bad memories... yes computer is more convenient and faster but writing has therapeutic positive effects :))) how are you Fred?
Coming off three long days of hard work and little sleep. My wife owns a small bakery and every year we have a booth at a show called "Made in Hawaii' at Honolulu's exhibition mall. Over 400 exhibitors and probably around 50'000 visitors. So we bake like crazy and I was "volunteered" to man the booth. Back to 'normal' now, but still need to catch up on my sleep. How is you trip going?
Its really refreshing to hear you like writing checks. I hope you have a pen where the 0's just seem to roll off it so easily (like the old papermate ad). Ten thousand US dollars will suit me just now. My handwriting used to be lovely but now its a scrawl and i mess up on certain letters too often..... the world changes doesn't it. Nice writing.
yes there is a list of requests and because i like handwriting i write more and more checks.. isnt that fantastic ha ha
