Before I Die

poetboy123

Before I die, I wish to see my dreams come true

The death of silence caused by people like you

Roaring against the profound injustice and hate

Taking a stand and leaving nothing to fate

Before I die, I want to watch the world fall apart

Indeed, it is the deepest wish within my heart

Where truth usurps lies, love over hate

A day of victory and chaos from order, I just can’t wait

Before I die, I pray to witness the kindled flame

A kind of fire which burns through the rain

The birth of a new tomorrow from embers

A future with a past fit to remember

Shoot out the lies

It’s a broken disguise

It’s time to realize

Hear the unheard cries

Thank you for your own truths and the power in these words. You've just inspired a new poem I've thought about for a while, best be off to right them down 😉
