Tune and Hymn Name: 'To God be the glory'
Luke 15 v.4-7
******
'Twas like one day when a hundred sheep kept
By a shepherd, but then was of one bereft
Though not lost for ever, nor abandoned e'er
Shepherd sets to find it sand shall give up ne'er
Chorus
Salvation is proclaimed, now hear the joyful sound
Where one sinner repents, joy in heaven is found
And angels too share in the exaltation
This invite open to souls of each nation
So ninety-nine sheep left in wilderness there
But surely providing they have loving care
Yet lost sheep must needs be found, search diligent
Shepherd searched till he found sheep, on travels went - Chorus
When finding his lost sheep, he on shoulders laid
And brought it home to fold, his toils repaid
Friends, neighbours called, for time of celebration
For th sheep is found now which once was lost one - Chorus
And so welcome home, for the sheep safe, secure
From heaven's delights may it depart ne'er more
'Tis so for each soul that salvation receives
Who the wondrous truth of the gospel believes - Chorus

Well written orchidee. ; )
Thanks AP.
So no sheep left behind. A nice song for "Salvation ".
Nope M. It might seem strange leaving the 99 sheep, to go to search for one lost one. But maybe we can assume the 99 were looked after meanwhile, or were OK somehow. Otherwise they may have wandered off, then there would be more lost sheep to find when the shepherd got back home!
Another good write Orchi.
Baaaa! Thanks G/F.
