Home Hunting

calling_alaska

We walk alone.

We wander

with every intention of finding home.

Home is

not a place.

It's a thought to be obtained.

Walk home.

Where is home?

What is home if you're alone?

Home is fleeting.

We find it in passing moments of contentment.

Home is the comfort of seeing a longtime friend.

It's each unrestrained laugh that passes between them.

It's each present thought that doesn't worry about the future.

If we're alone, are we home?

Not likely.

If we're home, are we alone?

Not for long.

Being alone is fleeting.

Reminds me of the saying; "We are all alone, together". Thought-provoking piece, CA!

Alone is good so long as you are together about yourself. Spend enough time alone and you get used to it. Alone is a good place to be once you are content. Alone and content is far better than in a relationship which is dysfunctional. Good writing. Please comment on my stuff.
